In summary: The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua is open and booking weddings after a $100 million refresh, and it publishes its catering per person rates, which almost no Maui resort does. What it does not publish is the site fee or the food and beverage minimum, and those are the two numbers that decide what a wedding here costs. Its own capacity chart is internally inconsistent, so do not plan a guest count from it without confirming the unit.
What it actually costs
The resort publishes its catering rates outright, which is unusually open for Maui:

On top of that, in the resort’s own words, a food and beverage minimum and a set up fee are required for a private wedding reception, and both vary by guest count, day and time. No dollar figure is attached to either. So the published per person rate tells you the floor of your catering line and nothing about the rest.
Third party sources fill the gap and disagree. The Knot lists $10,000 as a starting price for the reception and $10,000 again for the ceremony, and says couples usually spend $60,000. WeddingWire lists a single $10,000 site fee covering ceremony or reception and an $11,000 starting price overall. PartySlate estimates $488 per guest all in. None of that is resort confirmed and the first two cannot both be true.
Guest room costs are separate and are published: a $59 per day resort fee plus tax, and valet parking at $65 per day plus tax.
A warning about the published capacity chart
The resort’s own event chart has a column headed Banquet with no unit stated, and the numbers do not survive scrutiny. It lists the 14,915 square foot Ritz-Carlton Ballroom at 96 banquet, while Cvent lists the same room at 900. A factor of nine strongly suggests the resort is counting tables of ten rather than people, except that the Aloha Garden Pavilion is listed at 1,080 banquet, and 1,080 tables will not fit in 19,000 square feet. Here Comes the Guide, a third source, publishes 500 seated indoors and 200 outdoors.
We are not going to publish a seated dinner number for this venue, because we do not believe any of the three we found. Ask the resort directly what the maximum number of people who can sit down to dinner actually is, space by space.
The figures we do trust are the areas and the standing reception counts, both resort published:

The chapel on the resort’s wedding page is not on the resort
The Ritz-Carlton’s own weddings page features a Pineapple Chapel card, using wording almost identical to the chapel’s own history text. But Maui Pineapple Chapel has a different street address, its own website, its own booking contact and its own published price list, and its site never mentions the Ritz-Carlton. Whether the resort owns it, leases it, or simply markets it is not published by either party. If you want the chapel, it is cheaper and clearer to approach it directly.
What we could not confirm
We publish what the venue publishes and we say so when a number is missing. These are the gaps as of our last check:
- The food and beverage minimum and the set up fee, in dollars, for any date or guest count. The resort confirms both exist and publishes neither.
- Whether the Banquet column on the capacity chart counts people or tables. Three sources give three answers.
- Whether you must use in house catering, bar and rentals. PartySlate says in house suppliers only, WeddingWire lists outside vendors as available.
- Whether amplified music stops at 10:00pm outdoors. One third party source says so and the resort publishes nothing.
- Whether the one wedding per day claim on The Knot is contractual.
- The relationship between the resort and the Pineapple Chapel it advertises.

Where this fits on Maui
This and Four Seasons Wailea are the two full service luxury resorts on the island, one on each coast. Both price by proposal. The difference is that the Ritz publishes its catering rates, so you can at least build a floor. On the same West Maui coast, Merriman’s Kapalua is far smaller and Olowalu Plantation House publishes an actual rate card.
