In summary: Hana-Maui Resort publishes more of its wedding pricing than any other resort on the island. Ceremony site fees start at $3,500, all inclusive ceremony packages start at $4,900, and reception venue rentals start at $2,500. The catch is the location. It is a two and a half to three hour drive from the airport on a road that has been cut by weather as recently as February 2026, and the resort is too small to house a large wedding. The published guide is dated February 2025, so confirm every figure.
What it costs, published by the resort
All of the following comes from the resort’s own wedding guide. Note the date on it: the current downloadable guide is the 2025 edition, created February 2025. No 2026 edition exists.

The site fee includes the ceremony venue, seating for every guest, a water station, white folding chairs and a backup rain location. That last inclusion is not decoration. This is rainforest.

A 25 percent service charge applies to all food and beverage, plus Hawaii state tax. If you do not meet the food and beverage minimum, the resort charges a room rental fee equal to the shortfall.
The number they stopped publishing
The 2025 guide says every dinner reception venue carries a required food and beverage minimum and tells you to consult your event sales manager. It does not give a figure. The superseded 2023 guide, which is still sitting on the resort’s server, does: $175 per person for all private dining locations. That number is three years old and the resort has deliberately removed it from the current edition. Do not budget on it, but do ask whether it is still the basis.
The road is the real risk
On 8 February 2026 the Hana Highway was restricted to local traffic only during severe weather, with fallen trees at mile marker 21 and a landslide at mile marker 15. That is not a rare event on this road. Both the front route through Haiku and the back route through Kaupo can close.
Your guests are driving two and a half to three hours each way, and most visitors turn it into a six to ten hour day because of the stops. The resort sells a private charter flight for up to 14 passengers as an alternative, and Hana Airport is four miles away. Self parking is $20 a night and the resort fee is $45 a night.
The other logistical fact worth sitting with: the resort has somewhere between 66 and 74 rooms depending on which of its own documents you read. A 150 guest wedding cannot sleep on property.
The rules
- A professional wedding coordinator is required for all events. The resort publishes an approved vendor list.
- Receptions end at 10:00pm.
- Art Gallery Lanai receptions are family style service only.
- Guest House lawn events require a tent.
- Rehearsals are afternoon only and scheduled 30 days out based on availability.
- The Guest House is located off property.
What we could not confirm
We publish what the venue publishes and we say so when a number is missing. These are the gaps as of our last check:
- The current food and beverage minimum in dollars. The 2025 guide removed the figure that the 2023 guide published.
- The real Ocean Bluff ceremony capacity. The 2025 guide says 200, the resort’s own web page says 150, and Hyatt’s page says 150. The published fee tiers stop at 150, so there is no published price for a ceremony of 151 to 200.
- Whether the February 2025 guide is still current for 2026 and 2027 bookings. The resort’s own web page still shows the older $2,000 Art Gallery Lanai fee against the guide’s $2,500.
- The force majeure, postponement and refund policy if the Hana Highway closes before a wedding.
- Room block terms, buyout pricing, and where overflow guests sleep.
- Whether vendors charge a Hana travel surcharge. Nobody publishes one.
- Whether The Library, which appears on Hyatt’s page at 453 square feet for 20 to 30 guests, is still bookable. It is missing from both wedding guides.

Where this fits on Maui
Nothing else on the island feels like Hana, and no other resort here will show you its ceremony fees before you call. If the remoteness is the reason you want it, the published pricing makes it one of the easiest venues to budget. If the remoteness is a problem for your guest list, it is the wrong answer and no discount fixes that. For a small ceremony with a published price and no drive, Makena Cove or Maui Pineapple Chapel are the honest alternatives. Haiku Mill is the other north and east side option, though its booking status is unclear.
